BSFS/M.A. accelerated program with the School of Foreign Service

The School of Foreign Service and the Security Studies Program sponsor an accelerated bachelor's/master's program for those qualified students who plan to continue their professional education in international affairs at the graduate level and desire to complete the two degrees in five years.

Students in the BSFS/M.A. program are required to complete a total of 36 credit hours of course work and meet all SSP degree requirements to complete their M.A. in Security Studies.  Of the 36 credit hours, up to six credits of BSFS course work may double-count toward the M.A. in Security Studies. Students should consult with the SSP Director of Graduate Studies and the BSFS program to work out specifics of their curriculum.

Please note that courses taken prior to entry into the BSFS/M.A. accelerated program will not be accepted by the Security Studies Program or Graduate School for credit toward the M.A.
