Intelligence and Security
The Center for Peace and Security studies (CPASS) sponsors in-depth research exploring the challenges facing the intelligence community. CPASS scholars combine their vast professional experience in intelligence work with their rigorous academic research to address issues such as intelligence reform, analysis,and the role of intelligence work in homeland security.

In April, 2008 the Center will welcome a new volume Analyzing Intelligence (Georgetown University Press, 2008 forthcoming) edited by professional intelligence analysts, published academics and Security Studies Program (SSP) faculty members Roger Z. George and James Bruce. The essays in this volume are for students and scholars of intelligence. The chapters address what the profession of intelligence analysis has been, where it is headed, and how it can improve its performance in the post-9/11 and Iraq/WMD period.
