Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service Certificates
The Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service offers five certificate programs for Security Studies Program (SSP) students:
The Graduate Certificate of Arab Studies
The Graduate Certificate in Asian Studies
Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies Graduate Certificate
International Business Diplomacy
Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies
SSP does not approve all courses offered by the five certificate programs for its program course requirements. In some certificate programs SSP students must take courses beyond the standard 36-credits in order to fulfill the requirements of both the certificate program and requirements of the M.A. in Security Studies.
Students interested in applying credits for certificate courses not on the SSP Pre-approved Course List toward the SSP degree requirements must complete a Course Approval Form and submit it to the SSP Academic Counselor for approval by the Director of Studies before registration.
