Welcome International Students

Georgetown University’s SSP is a multidisciplinary course of study designed to prepare graduates for positions within the peace, security, and defense communities. Located in Washington, DC the SSP is one of six graduate programs in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS), the oldest and largest school of international affairs in the United States. To learn more about SFS, visit: http://sfs.georgetown.edu/.

The Master of Arts in Security Studies allows students to choose from six concentrations: Intelligence, Military Operations, Technology and Security, Terrorism and Substate Violence, Unconventional Weapons and Non-Proliferation, and U.S. National Security Policy. Students may customize concentrations based on their interests in a particular region or functional area of security. Over 70 courses are taught each year by leading academics and distinguished practitioners.

Recent graduates come from twenty-eight countries from around the globe. Our international students contribute to a diverse exchange of perspectives and experience in the classroom and SSP community.
